Comoros includes the islands of Ngazidja (Grande Comore), Mwali (Mohéli), and Nzwani (Anjouan). The island of Mayotte, to the southeast, is a French territory. The islands lie in the Indian Ocean between Mozambique, a country in southeastern Africa, and Madagascar, a much larger island country.
