Europe is known for being a peninsula of the Eurasian supercontinent (a peninsula meaning there's water on all three sides of a landmass). The continent might be named after the Greek goddess Europa. In Greek, Europe means 'wide-gazing'. Throughout history, Europe has been a well-connected economic power.
