Ghana is a country in Western Africa. The country was formerly called Gold Coast as the Arabs referred to the large amount of gold mined and used by the kingdom. The country borders the Atlantic ocean and three countries: Cote d'Ivoire (formerly Ivory Coast), Burkina Faso and Togo.
